BOMBS away! We still LOVE bathbombs!

Bathbombs are all the rage – and it isn’t any wonder why we all love them so. 

Packed together dry with other ingredients, baking soda and citric acid are completely non-reactive. As soon as they are introduced to water, they dissolve and effervesce, releasing the other ingredients into the bath water.

At Passion Flower beauty, we use natural ingredients like organic shea butter, essential oils, sunflower oil and sea salt. Some contain dried flower petals and even glitter!

Our bath bombs are moisturizing to the skin, and invigorating to the senses. Aromatherapy has been known to help with everything from stress to the common cold – and the pure essential oils in our bathbombs can sooth tired muscles, as well as your   stuffy sinuses.

While the glitter used in some of these bath bombs is biodegradable, and considered safe and eco-friendly, we know that some of our friends are still concerned and would rather not use the glitter bombs. We have plenty to choose from.

Eucalyptus to the rescue!

The seasons are changing!  There is a chill in the air that some of us have looked forward to!  The holiday season is approaching; And while some are so excited, others dread what comes with that cooler weather – COLD AND SINUS ISSUES!

 

Some struggle with stuffy noses and itchy sinuses the entire cold season.  It seems just when we start to feel better, something else gets stuffy or starts to bother us.  Enter, MAGICAL eucalyptus to the rescue!

Anti-aging, anti-oxidant rich – Rooibos!

Rooibos, or “red bush” comes from South Africa.  The leaves of this herb can be used to make a rich, red tea that is caffeine free and full of anti-oxidants.  Consumed largely in South Africa for many years, it is now used all over the world, where it is fast becoming known for its amazing anti-oxidant properties.  We are excited about using it in our newest facial creme!

Rooibos possesses a large amount of minerals such as iron, copper, calcium, potassium and  magnesium, and also has polyphenols and alpha hydroxy acid.  What does all this mean for skin?  Well, we will tell you!!

Some of the rare anti-oxidants in rooibos have amazing anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral and even anti-bacterial qualities.  This is great for people who have common skin problems, such as eczema, some types of acne, and other problem skin.  Some of these anti-oxidants are hard to find in other herbs, so using rooibos in our facial creme makes it unlike most you can find anywhere else.

Toxins be gone with Activated Charcoal!

When most people think about charcoal, it has to do with the grill – but activated charcoal is so much different than those little briquettes that glow with heat!

Colors of the Rainbow: All at Passion Flower Beauty

Eyeshadow is my passion. When I first moved to Richmond, Virginia, years ago, I told myself that I would follow my passion. I found a lot of distributors and I started making eyeshadows. That was on July 4th, 2014. Here is it, 2018, June 16th. Making eyeshadow is still a passion of mine, but I have branched out a bit. I am happy to say that Passion Flower Beauty has much more than just eyeshadows now. We have grown tremendously and that is with the help of my faithful customers.

Let’s talk about eyeshadow though. Let’s talk colors. Our website currently has over 95 colors of eyeshadows! Yes! That’s right! Why so many colors? Well, I love color. There is a craze that has become extremely popular within the last few years.  It is called the Bath Bomb! For The Love of Soaps!

Have I mentioned how much I love making soaps? Seriously, it’s as if I can’t get enough. Just the past week, I had a custom order for unicorn soaps for one of my favorite three year olds at my preschool! I was so delighted when I talked to her mom about how fun bath time was with these soaps! Things like this make my heart smile so big!

I’m here to talk about the benefits of goat’s milk soap, 98% of the soaps on http://www.passionflowerbeauty.com are made of goat’s milk. Do you know a lot about goat’s milk? Oh, pull up a chair, I can share some information with you.

Goat milk contains alpha-hydroxy acids such as lactic acid which help remove dead skin cells from your skin’s surface. This leaves new cells on the surface of your skin that are smoother and younger looking. The alpha-hydroxy acids are so effective because they break down the bonds that hold the dead skin cells together. Removing dead skin cells will help many skin conditions by removing irritation. Water-based soaps may use harsh chemical acids to accomplish this, frequently with skin-damaging results.

Goat milk contains many vitamins, but is particularly high in Vitamin A, which is necessary to repair damaged skin tissue, and maintain healthy skin. Unicorns… they seem to be everywhere now. I remember when I was a child and I was fascinated with them and now, people of all ages are obsessing over them once again. Why? Why the unicorn?
