Bathbombs are all the rage – and it isn’t any wonder why we all love them so.
Bathbombs are all the rage – and it isn’t any wonder why we all love them so.
Rooibos, or “red bush” comes from South Africa. The leaves of this herb can be used to make a rich, red tea that is caffeine free and full of anti-oxidants. Consumed largely in South Africa for many years, it is now used all over the world, where it is fast becoming known for its amazing anti-oxidant properties. We are excited about using it in our newest facial creme!
Rooibos possesses a large amount of minerals such as iron, copper, calcium, potassium and magnesium, and also has polyphenols and alpha hydroxy acid. What does all this mean for skin? Well, we will tell you!!
Some of the rare anti-oxidants in rooibos have amazing anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral and even anti-bacterial qualities. This is great for people who have common skin problems, such as eczema, some types of acne, and other problem skin. Some of these anti-oxidants are hard to find in other herbs, so using rooibos in our facial creme makes it unlike most you can find anywhere else.
Our new facial creme is an exfoliate. It helps scrub away the dead skin cells so that new cells can be created. Rooibos helps remove the dead skin cells, and then aids in promoting the production of healthy skin cells This creme leaves your skin feeling and looking clearer and healthier – because it actually is.
But that is not all there is to love about this amazing herb. We know it fights common skin irritations, acne, and even bacterial infections; yet there is still another quality of this fantastic plant – ANTI-AGING!! The great and powerful rooibos helps combat and neutralize free radicals, which are a major culprit in causing the fine lines and wrinkles we all dread. With regular use, it can even reduce the appearance of those wrinkles!
We are so excited about using rooibos in our products, and we hope you will give it a try. You will be so glad you did!
When most people think about charcoal, it has to do with the grill – but activated charcoal is so much different than those little briquettes that glow with heat!
Activated Charcoal is derived from many of the same things as charcoal briquettes. Basically it is carbon that has been oxidized in order to increase its absorption properties. The oxygen “activates” the charcoal, making it a powerful tool in the absorption of toxins and bacteria in the body, and on the body.
We here at Passion Flower Beauty use activated charcoal in many of our soaps and bath bombs. Not only is it proven to detoxify, it can also aid in removal of dead skin cells, which allows faster and more efficient production of new ones! It also can help with the appearance of large pores, acne issues, minor skin irritations and can even help balance oily skin.
Activated charcoal helps draw the toxins and bacteria to the surface, and then binds to it, to pull it out and then simply wash away. It leaves your skin feeling clean and invigorated!
For centuries, Green Tea has been a staple in China. It has even been used as medicine throughout Asia. It is no secret that Green Tea contains antioxidants that can benefit aspects of health from weight to diabetes to inflammation and even cardiovascular health. What some do not know is that the powerful antioxidants found in Green Tea can also do AMAZING things for our skin!
In comparison to other teas, Green Tea is special. Green Tea does not go through the same processing as other teas, like black tea or oolong tea. This difference in processing allow Green Tea to retain the rich antioxidants, amino acids, polyphenols, vitamins and enzymes it possesses naturally. These antioxidants are what gives it such awesome medicinal qualities – like the power to actually repair DNA – which is great news for our bodies, including our skin.
Passion Flower Beauty is passionate about skin and caring for skin. We believe in only the best ingredients for our products and we want to help you better your skin – which is why we are so excited about using Green Tea in our products, like our Buddha-ful handmade soap. Green Tea detoxifies and can help flush out the daily toxins that come in contact with our skin. It exfoliates and nourishes the skin, and can actually repair DNA, which can reverse sun damage and signs of aging.
A powerful anti-inflammatory, Green Tea can also aid in the appearance of eye puffiness and skin sagging. It can help with redness and acne. It has also been known to give relief to those suffering with such skin issues as psoriasis and rosacea. Green tea can even prevent skin cancer!!
Try our Buddha-ful Handmade soap with Green Tea today, and enjoy all these benefits. Be on the lookout for more Green Tea products in the future!
We here at Passion Flower Beauty care about our products and our friends. We go the extra mile to ensure that all of our ingredients are natural, and that our friends are happy with our product – which is why we have a special line of our handmade products, designed especially with men in mind!
More and more men are becoming concerned with the care they give themselves. The truth is that some men have special needs that women do not think of! Men who have more sensitive skin have to worry even more about the products they use. Regular shaving can really do a number on skin, and skin care for men is so full of alcohol and chemicals that can contribute to dry, flaky skin, razor burn and even break outs! Our shaving cream is made with aloe, papaya and pineapple to help soften the coarse hair, and sooth that fresh skin underneath. Cocoa butter and other essential oils leave the skin moisturized and nourished, naturally – with ZERO chemicals!
For those that choose to keep a beard, our mustache and beard oil can help keep it looking and feeling healthy! With Organic Moringa oil, Marula Oil and Hemp Seed Oil, your beard will be soft and smooth!
We also have several soaps geared towards our male friends like Bay Rum Soap, Chai Tea, The Woodsman, and our popular Horntail Handmade soap – inspired by the Hungarian Horntail Dragon and made with Dragon’s Blood essential oil! What is sugar scrub? What are they used for? Why do I use them? Are they good for me? Why sugar? We all have questions about sugar scrubs, but let’s find out exactly what sugar scrubs are and the many benefits and uses we can get from them.
Sugar scrubs are an exfoliating body treatment. These are a much more gentle alternative to salt scrubs, that many of you have heard of. When spas began to open, they used salt scrubs as the most common treatment for the body. Salt scrubs were considered to be more effective at exfoliating the skin because of how rough and aggressive they were. This actually hurt the body more than helped it. Soon after spas found out the salt scrubs hurt the body, they moved onto sugar scrubs. A sugar scrub actually is great for sensitive skin and those who are trying to find a new, gentle way to exfoliate the skin. Sugar scrubs hydrate your skin and leave it feeling soft and silky.
So what are the benefits to sugar scrubs?
Regularly exfoliating your skin once or twice a week helps to speed up the skin’s regeneration process, removing dead skin cells and unclogging pores to refresh, smooth and polish skin. We should exfoliate because what we eat, drink, and hormones can cause our bodies to become dry, red, puffy, etc. This is why we need to exfoliate. In order to balance out our skin we need to exfoliate often.
Why sugar scrubs? A natural sugar scrub can help to remove dry and flaking skin cells and brighten tired, dull looking skin to promote smooth and healthy skin. It is important to give your skin a hand and make sure its unclogged and clarified. This is achieved by exfoliating regularly.
Sugar scrubs come in many colors and fragrances. It is best to find the all-natural ones that can help your skin to feel healthier in just a few uses. Passion Flower Beauty has quite a few of these sugar scrubs and you can find them online at http://www.passionflowerbeauty.com.
